I am currently part of the Parkland-Spanaway Pierce County Library team as a Customer Experience Assistant (CEA). In this role I work directly with members of the public, create displays, and perform readers advisory during my day to day. I have four years of experience in academic libraries. I held positions at Odegaard Undergraduate Library as an Access Services Graduate Specialist and the UW Libraries' Research Commons as an Events and Communications Graduate Specialist. I also worked for the UW Libraries Advancement team during my undergrad at UW, operating out of and managing the front desk of The Office of the Dean of UW Libraries, and assisting the events department. Additionally I interned at both St. Thomas School, a private Pre-k-8th school, and Franklin High School, a Seattle Public School. I am an MLIS Candidate at the UW iSchool, nearing the completion of my masters degree. In library school, my focus has been youth services broadly, academic librarianship, access services, collection development, information literacy, teaching/instruction and school librarianship.
