Housing

& community

I have worked in community building and housing in a variety of positions, with a total of 7 years of experience. I fell in love with res life when I joined (old, now torn down) Lander Hall Council during my freshman year at UW. During my undergraduate years, I held many positions within UW HFS including: Residence Education Programmer, Programming RA, and the Director of Marketing for Residential Programming Board. After graduation I spent a quarter as an interim Resident Director for Mercer Court B + C. I worked in bookstores and libraries during the graduate school before taking a role with Blanton Turner property management as the Leasing Administrator for 7000 Campus Living. 7000 Campus Living is a single-building student housing community on campus at Shoreline Community College, where I managed leasing, placement, recruitment, payments, roommate swaps, and worked closely with the Residential Life staff to create a positive student and student leader experience at SCC. Following this role I was the Leasing Manager for Sawyer Trail Apartments in Frederickson, WA, which is a multi-family housing community consisting of 500+ units. I am skilled in building and facility management, de-escalation, conflict resolution facilitation, crisis response, 24-7 on-call responsibilities, supervising staff, and building relationships and fostering community.
