Booktalking the Best

WLA Annual 2018

The iYouth board presented Booktalking the Best at the Washington Library Association's Annual Conference in 2018 in Yakima, WA. This presentation consisted of 20+ booktalks from the iYouth board where we highlighted our favorite recently published middle grade and young adult novels. We chose to highlight diverse stories and covered the following identity categories:

Online Northwest Conference 2019

This presentation will take place in Portland, OR at the 2019 Online Northwest conference. The Storytelling Fellows team (Elliott Stevens, Perry Yee, Erika Bailey, Dovi Patino, and myself) will present on our iterative, evolving online workshop for graduate students, the value of graduate student labor, and challenges we faced.

Similar to our annual Booktalking the Best presentation, this year iYouth is partnering with an Oregon-based student group to present exciting booktalks for middle grade and young adult novels. This presentation will take place in Vancouver, WA at the WLA-OLA Annual Conference 2019.
